As we all know, audio tapes can be a pain. They were THE technology of yesteryear, but would often get unspooled and tangled, and we’ve all used the end of pencil to wind the loose tape back in to the housing at some point!

Well, here at THE VIDEO COPY COMPANY, we can transfer your audio cassettes to an audio CD, a data CD (as mp3/wav/etc. files), or any other device you may want!

We can even transfer your MiniDisc audio recordings (if you remember those) as well. Unfortunately, at present we cannot transfer data MiniDiscs or multitrack MiniDiscs.

Our prices are very competitive, and whenever we digitise your audio, it is captured at 48kHz (which is actually DVD quality, and higher than CD quality’s 44.1kHz), so whatever you decide to do with your audio recordings, you know they’ll sound pretty good!

If the recordings on your tapes or MiniDiscs aren’t very good, then for an extra cost, it may be possible for us to enhance the audio for you. The cost will vary from one task to the next, so if you require this service, please contact us for more information.

Please note that all transfers are subject copyright, so we can not transfer music tracks, radio shows, etc, only things you have produced yourself.

We can only copy audio that you own the copyright to. We cannot copy broadcasted programs or commercially owned and professionally produced material without the permission of the copyright holder.

If you would like your transfers produced as WAV or MP3 files, please state on order form.

WAV files are encoded at uncompressed 48000 Hz. MP3 files are encoded at 320kbps.
All audio or data CD transfers are to CDR. Please let us know if you require a different CD format, please contact us.
